Hello! My name is Negar Kaghazchi, and I'm an artist and academic with a Ph.D. in New Media Arts from the University of Electro-Communications in Japan. I was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1984, and my passion for the arts has shaped my entire life.

I have degrees in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, and over the years, I've worked as a painter, designer, lecturer, and art director. In 2013, my love for Japanese art and culture took me to Japan, where I spent three years working as a freelance designer while looking for Ph.D. opportunities. In 2016, I was thrilled to be accepted into the University of Electro-Communications. Transitioning from fine arts to New Media Arts was challenging, but I embraced it and earned my Ph.D. in 2022. During my studies, I had the incredible opportunity to work with the renowned artist Sachiko Kodama, exploring the fascinating relationship between visual elements and the human gaze.

Today, I'm proud to teach at Tama Art University in Japan. I'm also working on a series of paintings and installations that celebrate the beauty of our fleeting existence and the power of our five senses. My work is all about blending reality with imagination, highlighting how our fantasies can transform our perception of the world.
